Sewing isn't something I have been doing all my life but more something I stumbled upon. Pottering around my home one day I found a piece of fabric and within a few hours I had made my first bag. It was my son, who first came across my creation. Arunn was so impressed by mum’s new handbag that he insisted I sell it at my daughter, Aartthie's stall in Brick Lane market. Surprisingly my bag sold that very first week. So I made another, then another and soon enough was sewing nonstop. That’s how I got here - 22 June 2009 - the launch of my website - "I always end up running" =)
I only make items when inspiration hits me, so am constantly updating the site. It just means you'll have to keep checking back to make sure you don't miss anything, and remember all the items are limited edition - so you'll have to be quick if you want to catch that one you have been staring at.
